This was John & Eric on the radio pregame show. They mentioned that Coach Calhoun has coached 68 games in the NCAA tournament (3 of them were "vacated" by the NCAA because of the '96 season, so he's officially at 65 total with 60 of them at UConn). Coach Hoiberg has only coached 65 games TOTAL. At any level. High school, college, pro. Regular season, tournaments and preseason. If you think about it in NBA terms, Fred still hasn't finished his first season as a coach yet (82 game season).
And look where we're at now. Not to go all fanboy here, but Fred Hoiberg is the freakin' Kwisatz Haderach of coaching. Forget experience, he just KNOWS what to do.
Calling me "satisfied" with the state of our basketball program right now would be a bit of an understatement.
