Maybe my favorite mascot ever. I once saw the mascot join a team huddle where everybody put their hand in and said something before breaking. The mascot stood there with one "wing" in the huddle while the other was outside the huddle still flapping. But they weren't in the real tourney this year. They lost to UNI in the NIT.

This year's weak on the goofy mascots. Besides the Wichita State Wheatshockers, and the good old Catamounts, nobody really has anything that odd. I wish Gonzaga would change their mascot to the 'Zags. Bulldogs are sleep-inducing.

The NIT has some better ones:the Mavericks (which I think was the first team to be called as such - way before Dallas's NBA team) - The Seawolves - The Flyers (which is hilarious, because those are things you pass out, and that's how Dayton played - passed out) - and the Oral Roberts Tonsilectomies. All right, kidding about that last one, but the NIT wins the weird mascot contest hands down this year.
