15 Seeds Upsetting 2 Seeds

I am psyched that the Clones are no longer the "last 2 seed to be upset by a 15 seed". I am so sick of seeing that every year -- now the 'defectors' from Missouri can have that honor, along with the Dukies.

Missouri losing did it, but with Duke losing too, it pretty much ensured it.

Yeah but it kind of sucks, since we had to wait 11 years to get rid of that "honor", Missouri had to wait three hours...

Agree, but I think they will always be lumped with Duke as the two #2s that lost to a 15 on the same day.

Yesterday it still made since to say first time since ISU/Hampton in 2001.

It will never make since in 2015, for example, to say, "first time in 3 years since Duke and Missouri lost as 2 seeds...and also Iowa State 14 years ago".

I was celebrating after Missouri lost and then really celebrating after Duke also lost (even though it blew up my bracket -- it was worth it)!

Interesting on Mike & Mike -- apparently the whole thing about if "Greeny picks your team, that is the kiss of death" started in 2001 when he picked the Clones for national champion on his bracket.

Duke will get tagged with it...bigger name and officially the "last since"...but they will share the load with Mizzou, even though they may fall into relative obscurity with the SEC move.
