He's gaining aggresiveness and confidence.
He also has a family. I really thought before the tourney, he'd be back, but since these last two, he's shown he's the real deal. I'm just not sure the last two games puts him into sure lottery pick consideration. This draft is stacked.
If he is a late first or early second type I think the best for his family is one more year.

If he returns, we win the Big XII next year.

I really think its 60% going pro, 40% stays.
He is smart and knows he could get paid more if he develops other aspects of his game but he has really came on as of late and may draw alot of attention....

He might earn more if he waits, but if he thinks he's got a check to cash now it's going to be hard to turn down. Takes a lot of discipline to say no to more money than you've ever had.

Re: Royce is writing himself a fat check tonight
I was saying to my buddy, take all of what Royce is doing in we may lose him. If we lose the game we lose, but I want Royce to but that twig ***** Davis to shame, and he did.
Slammed in his face multiple times and loved every minute of it.
With how UK was making every shot imaginable tonight I dont think there is any team in the past decade that could have beaten them....

Re: Royce is writing himself a fat check tonight
Such a tough one, as he probably is a late 1st if he goes now. If he stays, he has a great chance to be the NPOY and if he develops a better mid range game, he is able to be a much higher pick.

Personally, I think he stays, but only Royce knows for sure.

Guys who get alot of media attention= not good for chances returning.
Yes, I know Royce could work on alot, and not to be a debbie downer. But just how much better will we be next year??
I think we were pretty damn good this year but you can not discredit the contributions of our seniors and the factors they had on our wins this year... and right now looking to next season say we will be sooo much better

Re: Royce is writing himself a fat check tonight
An extra year could potentially move him from a late 1st round pick to lottery. That's a BIG pay raise

Stay or go we will win the Big 12 next year. If he stays we are a final 4 team.

Age is a premium in the NBA. Most of the the best players are 23-24.
