They are - definitely our two best shooters.

But in Lucious, we'll have a true PG who can push the tempo and handle the ball in traffic. Clyburn is an outside - inside dynamic player.

I also think that Babb and McGee have room to grow as the sharpshooters. They can step up.

I know this isn't proven yet but Clyburn is supposed to be a shooter. Having a shooter with lenght is at least as good or better than SC. Has anybody seen Lucious handle the ball.....? OMG.

Babb is capable and will get his stroke back. Gibson is an absolute scorer inside. We haven't even talked about our incoming recruits.

I don't see holes. I see a team overflowing with exactly what we need. Add Hoiberg to the mix and it's a model for special things.

I think Lucious/Clyburn/Niang/SDW/Okoro/Long will be enough to fill Scotty and Allen's shoes.

Obviously the key will be White. If he comes back we're sick and could challenge for the league title and make a deep NCAA run.

If not, I see us being similar to this year. A little inconsistent, but winning the majority of home games and upsetting a couple of good teams along the way to a tourney appearance.

    Re: Next Year

Do we think Clyburn starts? I could see us go with a little bit bigger starting lineup.

    Lucious
    Babb
    Ejim
    Gibson
    White

We wouldn't be the guard heavy team and 3 shooting team we are now but a much more rounded team.

That would be an incredibly deep team...
That is deep and talented. KU has killer recruits, but this line up could contend.

Ejm and Gibson have got MILES to go, physically and mentally.

Don't get carried away with one NCAA win against a decimated UConn team.

The guard court will also be entirely new. College basketball is a guards' game. Didn't you learn that tonight?

Almost forgot about Bubu. Rip him all you want, but he gave us some quality minutes tonight.

And Lucious is a guard with NCAA Tournament experience. We'll miss Scotty and Allen, but our back court will be better next year than it was this year. Having a true PG will go a long way for this team. I anticipate we'll actually be able to score on transition next year, something this year's team sorely missed.

And 2 wins over teams ranked in the top 10 on game day. But yeah, all we did all year was beat UCONN.

    Re: Next Year

I won't discount losing Scotty & Allen - both seemed to get better and better throughout the season.

If Lucious and Clyburn are even close to filling in transfer roles, and Royce does return — I see no way this isn't a conference title contender and Sweet 16 team.

The depth is still boggling to me. Unless Ejim, McGee, Booker, Babb, Gibson and Palo all individually regress ... my gosh this team is going to be loaded.

    100% Clyburn starts, he's a stud!

Royce comes back and we are preseason top 25 with that lineup.

    Re: Next Year

This team is going to miss Scotty and CA a lot, imo....a lot more than some on here think. Their experience is not easy to replace.

If Royce does not come back, I think the team can still be pretty good. I think the 4 recruits coming in may surprise a lot of us.....plus you have Clyburn and Lucious.

If Royce does come back.......ISU will contend for the Big 12 title, and who knows what after that. KU will be good, and both Texas and BU are supposed to have good recruiting classes, so.....

Can't wait to see what happens.
