Eric Heft mentioned during the broadcast that it was Fred's first technical since 7th grade, when (if I heard this right) he dunked during warmups and hung on the rim...

Honestly, I loved when Orr and Larry would chew on refs and get technicals. I thought it was essential for lowly teams like ISU to level to playing field of officiating, however, I think Fred has proven that theory wrong. Coach K doesn't seem to get a lot of T's, so there's some more evidence. Either way, I'm not going to lie, I was fired up after Fred got the T!

Freddy did get very animated, I believe Chris Allen came over to settle him down. (Which is ironic) There were a bunch of f'n bs's coming out of his mouth, made me proud to be a Cyclone. I love the passion he has, the great thing about him is he doesn't have to yell to show that passion. His players play their butts off for him and know when he is upset. Same look when your dad doesn't have to say anything, you already know you messed up and it only took a split second look. I can't wait for next year and the next 10 years!

They showed a replay and Royce was obivously raked accross the arms which caused him to loose the ball out of bounds. The ref standing right there had to see it and that is what ****** Fred off. KU definity had home court advantage. I thought there were numerous "over the backs" that did not get called.

CBS did a terrible job directing this game. The cameras were all over, missed plays ad missed the whole ordeal of Fred's T because hearing what fat A** Ashley Judd has to say was more important. The uconn game was poorly done as well. Good announcers, terrible camera work and directing.

The referees were perfectly fine. Was it a reach? Probably. Did we get a few calls that were big time helps for us? Yeah (the first one Royce got the bucket and a foul was on the floor and should've been our ball underneath...the whistle blew before he even shot it).

And if you could point out where "over the back" is against the rules in basketball I'd appreciate it. They aren't going over the back. Their front lines is taller and longer and they just jump straight up behind you and tip it back.

Loved seeing Fred after the T. I tried to do a little lip-reading and the only words I could make out for sure were "That's horse***t!"

I know Fred usually keeps a cool head and for some reason I think he was getting frustrated but not quite to that point. I feel like he wanted a T to give ISU a spark and made a conscious decision to go for one. Which I love!

I would have gotten a technical when Royce went up and tipped the alley oop from happening. Both Royce and the UK guy were kind of going backwards but that was the worst foul call of the night.

No they weren't . . e.g. RW was called for a foul by GOING UP for a rebound with a UK player behind him . . foul was called.

ONE OF THE BIG PROBLEMS for you official types/wannabes is ANTICIPATING the call. The official just anticipated that Royce backed into the rebounder behind him. If that is the case . . you might as well not play the modern game of basketball anymore. The shoving a pushing going on throughout this game (and others) . . made this call a complete fabrication/joke. IT seems officials just HAVE TO insert themselves into the game. It is almost like . . "Well, it is time to call a foul . . . that looks like one . . whistle).

Regardless, officiating did not cuase us to lose this game. You dont win by the margin UK wins and question the win because of a bad call or two or even three or four.
