Being in the band, I had the privilege of traveling with the team to the tourney. I could not be more proud of this team! When it came to the games, these guys played their butts off! Taking down UConn when nobody gave them a chance and giving Kentucky quite the scare. They worked so hard and never gave up and that's all you can really ask for.
I was also very impressed off the court. We all know this is a great group of guys that represents the university well and this week reassured that for me. When I went with a group to the Muhammad Ali Center yesterday, the security guard at the museum came up to us and talked to us about the game. He made sure to point out how respectful our team is and how well they carry themselves. He said that often times teams come in and are not very respectful at all but these guys were different. I was also really impressed with how Royce carried himself. Made sure he interacted with fans that wanted to talk to him. He also gave his shoes to two little kids after the game yesterday.
Overall it was an incredible trip and I can't think of a group of guys I would rather have representing this university right now. What a season!
