Monday Musings: 3-19 Edition

Re: Monday Musings: 3-19 Edition
Can we please get rid of those fancy non-traditional camera angles during NCAA Tournament games CBS? Do you guys/gals know what I’m talking about? Ahhhh. Just the very thought makes me want to scream!
Those are annoying! How can CBS/Technical Directors think those are a good idea?

Totally with you on the camera angles Chris. I don't know if Producers just get bored with the normal camera, but it drives me up the wall.

I honestly thought the "main" camera went down for some reason and they were scrambling in the back room screaming "GO TO CAMERA 3! GO TO CAMERA 3!!!!"

I love them. The angle from the camera thats over the hoop behind the play is my favorite. I was watching Syracuse play K-State and it was pretty fun to see KSU move the ball around and have a great angle to watch the SU zone shift. I'm glad they mix it up every once in a while. Might be a little overused though.

Can we also stop interviews during the game?

I'm assuming the "camera angle" discussion includes going away from game action to show pointless interviews with B-list celebrities...

Yeah, I want traditional side view only. The rest distract from your view of the game. That may be due to habit, but I don't care. Also, could you please remove the on screen graphics before a play starts? Drives me crazy when I miss a play because they're showing some stupid graphic that has little to do with understanding the game. At least make it smaller and off to the side so we can still see the play.

Re: Monday Musings: 3-19 Edition
The camera angles are horrible. Quit trying to win some award and get back up to the top. Half the time we could not even see the guy with the ball because they were trying to be tricky.. — Here’s something to be somewhat concerned about for next year. Iowa State had three players in double-figures on Saturday night. Those men were Royce White, Scott Christopherson and Chris Allen.
Agree. However, 2 of those guys are new guys this year. So we have shown we are capable of bringing in a new talent to lead the team (Clyburn, Lucius, and Niang). So I am not to worried about it.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Yeah, it was Leslie Visser. I yelled at her on the TV about it, my wife was laughing at me.

We got the best announcing duo (Vern & Raft), but the worst sideline reporter, by FAR. I've never been a fan of the "sideline reporter" anyway, but when you add in the fact that she acts like she's doped up on prescription meds and looks like she's being cast as the next Joker, it really takes away from the game. She needs to be put out to pasture.
