Niang has a chance to play right away. Says Okoro and SDW could also. Gibson has chance to be a BIG-TIME player (he emphasized "big-time"). Other players (McGee, Booker, Babb, etc) will continue to improve.
Felt great all year (concerning heart), was more anxious for Texas in Conf tourney than NCAA's.
Diante's doing "fantastic" over in France, Vanderbeken palying in the D-league.
Would tell anybody playing UK to play them the same way we did, but hope they miss shots. (laughing)
"reintroduced myself to family last night" will hit the road recruiting later this week.
While he watches more of the tournament, His wife watches Bravo/ real houswives of ____.
Decent/ different interview. what no reference to Sledge or Railey? Start the rumor mill!!! -

Don't sleep on Naz Long. I think he's going to be a tremendous player at ISU and is coming into a great situation.

Regarding next year's team, he will do what's best for "the kid" (referring to any of his players), meaning he won't advise player to stay just so he has a good team the following year. There's absolutely no question in my mind that any advice that comes from Freddie will be honest and as accurate as possible.

I wouldn't be surprised if both Railey & Sledge transferred and I wouldn't be upset about either one. Railey has not impressed me at all and there are others on the team who could step into Sledge's spot right away if needed.

That is the right thing to do, so you can be assured that Fred will do it.
Ultimately that approach will pay back in spades over the course of time.

Re: Hoiberg to be on 1700 the champ
It's not like Fred is going to say go or don't go. He is going to tell him what he has heard on his prospects and what he thinks it will be like for him, then let him make up his own mind.

It's also really good for a program to give up on a true freshman PG, and 7 footers practically grow on trees anyway.
