Agreed. Everything I've seen and heard of Lucious tells me that he'll be very good.

I just hope he's average. He wasn't anything special when he played at Michigan State, but he's very talented. I'm not going to pump him up, and then vilify him when he commits a turnover or takes a bad 3.

He's not going to get much better coaching here than he was with Izzo. The change of scenery, and the additional year of experience will probably help him out, and we may run some stuff that is more suited to him, but still..

Lucious needs to score 8 ppg (or whatever avg scoring stat), penetrate and dish and draw fouls, be a pain-in-the-*** in transition, and guard the opponents PG better than Scott/ Allen did this year. I foresee Clyburn being our primary scorer (along w/ Royce if he stays), but everybody will be capable if left open.

I think the bolded above will be huge for the team. A lot of teams with very athletic guards killed us this year. Babb can only shut down 1 guy at a time. Scotty was exposed against UK.
If KL can give use another + defender at PG and can run the floor, he will be a success.

Has Naz not signed his LOI?

IIRC, he signed financial documents for the second semester after the early signing period closed. Then, when he was unable to come in January, those of course were voided. The next signing period is April, so that is when he can sign his LOI.

I'd say Freddie is different than Izzo, and for some players, that may be better. Doesn't make one or the other a better coach. Just means that some players have better luck in different systems.
