You younger people think you can rank who is number one and who is number two, etc. with authority. Just keep your traps shut it you're not including Bill Cain and The Big Dipper in the convo. If you haven't seen more than Stinson forward you don't know squat. Curtis Stinson is better than Jeff Hornacek. Yeah right.
Don't know who The Big Dipper is? That's my point and it proves you shouldn't be ranking these guys.
Or at least say "my rank from (X) year to present."
I'm too young to cite Cain. But I'm old enough to notice absence of Stevens, Hornacek, et al, on these best-of's. Heck, even Justus Thigpen doesn't show up much anymore.
To be fair, if I had made a top 10 list in 1983, it'd probably include Lefty Moore, Ron Harris and Robert Estes. I would have been "familiar" with Hercle Ivy, but not firsthand knowledge.
Then again, I couldn't have surfed the Internet as swiftly to find historical info and possible video footage, either.
