Re: Oriakhi or Pelle?
I'd take Oriakhi. The guy has been through 3 college seasons. He knows what it takes to be competitive at this level and I think we'd probably only get Pelle for a season or 2.

Re: Oriakhi or Pelle?
I'd take either one. Doesn't matter to me. Both are and were 5-star recruits in high school.

Neither
I think we need a long term solution without a lot of baggage.
Royce is a big loss, but I am completely comfortable with Gibson, Ejim & Booker in the post next year. Add Niang & Railey and we are good.
If we can get a Hs/prep school kid I'd go that direction. If not i still think we could use another 3pt shooter.

Not to mention, Pelle has 4 years of eligibility left.

Re: Oriakhi or Pelle?
Percy Gibson didn't sign until May 22nd last year. I don't think anyone that has been discussed will be on campus next year. If we have a transfer then we can just go after someone who left their school and is a 4 year starter or a JUCO to even things out.

Re: Oriakhi or Pelle?
Oriakhis won a national championship.. Ill take him
-
Re: Oriakhi or Pelle?
Id take Pelle easily.
Oriaki didnt win that championship....Kemba Walker won that title. He didnt exactly light it up this year, and was getting limited minutes. Dont get me wrong.....id love to have him....but not at the expense of losing Pelle.
Pelle's visiting SDSU...hes not for sure going. Id imagine he didnt visit ISU because we didnt have any scholarships at the time. No point in loving a school that has no room for you yet.
But yes....Nerlens Noel is the correct answer to this question.

Re: Oriakhi or Pelle?
I know that this sounds kinda crazy, but...I'll take whichever one Fred wants, and be completely content. "Hey! I'm building something here!"

Re: Oriakhi or Pelle?
Pelle. Oriakhi is a known quantity, but Pelle could potentially be way better, plus has more eligibility. Easy call for me.
"Freddie knows the game," Bird said. "I'm sure he picked up a lot of stuff over the years from different people. College is different from the NBA, but I'm sure he'll do a great job." -
Re: Oriakhi or Pelle?
I think it's safe to say Cyclone fans will be jumping for joy if we get either one of these athletes.
