Dendy made a huge mistake leaving

He could have run with DG and had Freddy's coaching/contacts last year. We would have made the tourney had Dendy stuck around. Does anybody know how it played out? I think he will still get paid to play ball, but what could have been...

From last in the Big 12 to an NCAA tournament team. It sounds like Dendy is a lottery pick.

I don't know if I remember correctly or not but I thought CFH decided it would be best for him to leave. I thought he wanted to stay. Perhaps I'm wrong on that.

Anywho, Dendy or Godfrey would have been a nice piece to have on this team. Sure we had Ejim and Booker but those other two guys could have helped. One of them anyway. Don't bring up scholarships and that whole argument, Bubu just wouldn't have gotten one.

Dendy just made a huge mistake and cost his team a chance to go to NYC in the NIT. Got called for a T with 7 seconds left for hitting the ball in the hands of the player trying to throw it in bounds.

I think he was the sunbelt conference player of the year. My guess is he is probably okay with how things turned out.

I'm talking about last year *******. Dendy had talent. He needed discipline and coaching. Freddy and DG would have helped him big time. Maybe Freddy thought it wasn't worth it...

It was time for him to move on. I had insider info about Dendy at the time and sent C-Willy a message on here asking if it was appropriate to post because it was damaging. We both agreed to keep it off of here.
LaRon has a lot to take care of in his personal life, I hope he is doing that.

Yes...I realized you were talking about last year. And I assume by "last year" you are referring to Hoiberg's first season where ISU finished last in the Big 12. Hence, your statement that "ISU would have made the NCAA tourney if Dendy had stayed" would imply that he would have taken ISU from a team that was last in the Big 12 to a tournament team.

Not having Godfrey this year did hurt. The kid was mean and athletic enough to get to the offensive glass. He really started to figure things out at the end of last year, and that was after missing a few weeks mid season.

The other thing about this year is I heard FH thought seriously about redshirting DG. Just think if he was out there this year? We very well may have been conference champions. Oh well, this year was great anyway.
