I wish Paul would have been able to walk on at KU instead of ISU so that after we beat him five times in a row he would have an actual reason not to like us.

It was a good interview. I don't agree with him about "using" ISU, and I agree with him that everyone is BIGGER in the NBA and Royce COULD have some problems, but then again..I really have no idea. Don't agree with him about White being 6'6" though.

But he makes some other interesting points in the interview.

Did anyone else catch that he claims Tinsley didn't have a HS degree OR GED?

Tinsley didn't. California Juco's don't require either and you can get into ISU with an AA degree. That is what Mel did.

Exactly.

It isn't a claim, it's true. He was in California where you could get into juco without a HS diploma...I'd have to go back and re-listen but I think that he had to get his GED...could be wrong there.

Well, a lot of states you can go to college (not just JUCO) with a GED, but if you listen again Shirley claims he didn't even have a GED. unless I heard that wrong...90% sure he said that.

lol, kinda funny. So essentially you could get your associates degree in CA without ever graduating HS or getting a GED. Interesting. Never knew that.

I stand corrected. I knew he didn't need the GED and didn't have one to enroll at Juco.

Cant you take classes at DMACC without having graduated from high school also?
I swear there were a couple of high school kids in my DMACC classes when I was doing summer courses there during my ISU years.

I'm surprised that Cyclone fans are NOT more miffed that Paul made those comments.

I'm surprised that Cyclone fans are burying Railey and Sledge for transferring.

Another surprise is that Cyclone fans are upset about someone voicing their opinion that isn't 110% Cardinal & Gold.

Yeah, you can.

I took a few online classes through Hawkeye in high school. High school paid for it, and I only had to go to class half-days my senior year.

Sounded like a sweet deal at the time, because I had half days, but looking back it was good to get a few classes in so my college schedule would be a little lighter. Win-win.
