If I had to guess, he commits here after his visit. If we don't extend, my guess is that he ends up in Omaha.

Kentucky predictably goes on a HUGE run. Game, set, match.
Sorry, Bubu can stay a 'walk-on' Bubu played well in the UCONN game, Scotty was having a little trouble keeping up with their quick guards and I thought Bubu did a better job hence why he played a good bit in that game.
Thought he played alright in the Kentucky game too, of course we will never know but I would venture to guess Kentucky goes on that big run with or without Bubu in there. They were a very good team and had their backs against the wall at that point.

Re: 4 Players, Two Scholarships
I was thinking that if Uthoff transferred to Iowa, he would lose another year of eligibility versus going elsewhere?
-
Re: 4 Players, Two Scholarships
Wow, I never thought of this situation before. Going to need some time to think about it...

Re:4 Players, Two Scholarships
Uthoff can go to any school but if not released he will pay own tuition for the year he sits out. Only difference.
-
Re: 4 Players, Two Scholarships
Bubu does DESERVE the scholarship. I don't think that any of us are going to argue that. The fact of the matter is that if we can be greedy and get other good talent in the door with those scholarships and he stays as a walk on, why wouldn't we? It may not be the nicest thing, but this is NCAA sports we are talking about.
I want Pelle at all costs. He fills a need. Uthoff I am not that impressed with, but I wouldn't be upset if we give him a scholarship. He is going to contribute more than Railey would.

No. He has to sit regardless and will have 3 to play no matter where he goes. The difference is that the schools on the restricted list (B1G and ACC), he's not eligible for financial aid in year 1.

Instead of getting that year paid for and playing for Fred or anywhere for that matter. I think some of you are dilusional.

So in the case of Wisconsin’s Jarrod Uthoff, he would be allowed under Big Ten rules -- if Wisconsin didn’t block him -- to transfer to the University of Iowa (his home state school). However, he’d have only three seasons of eligibility left, not four. And Uthoff would have to sit again after redshirting this past season. Uthoff hasn’t publicly expressed an interest of going to Iowa or another Big Ten school.

The new rule, adopted for this current academic year, allows a player to receive the aid, but he would have to sit out the NCAA-required one-year in residence and lose a season of eligibility.
