European Players
Does anyone remember during Fred's initial press conference he mentioned his contacts to various European programs? I remember back then thinking we might see several Euro recruits to jump start the program. Maybe Fred just decided the transfer route was the better way to go.
We have had pretty good luck with the perimeter oriented European bigs over the years like Julo, Juri, and Rancik. A guy in that mold would seem to fit nicely with next year's team if we are unable to land Pelle. I realize that is easier said than done.

Re: European Players
I don't want another JVB who hang outs around the perimeter shooting threes. I want another big who goes for every rebound, tries to dominant the other post player

Given my druthers, i'll take the length!

Re:European Players
If we had a shot at another JVB I would guarantee we take him in a heartbeat.

Re: European Players
ISU does not want or need a 6'11 3-point shooter who does not rebound.
Watch for Babb to find his stroke next season from behind the arc

Watch for Babb to find his stroke next season from behind the arc What evidence do you have that Babb is a great shooter in a Cyclone uniform? seriously, outside of maybe 3 games, he clanked EVERYTHING. Not saying he wasn't important to the team, cause he was. But, JVB has proven more stroking the ball than Babb.
I would take another JVB in a heartbeat, especially with the front court players of Percy/Royce. They would have to put a short guard on him and he can shoot over them with ease, ask Baylor in Hilton 2 years ago.

JVB couldnt dribble, could hardly rebound, could NOT defend. I would like to think we're at the point where our program can get players that do more than 1 thing well.

When you have a stroke as pretty as Babb's you are never going to be a BAD shooter. He will have his slumps like every player that has ever play the game.
P.S. Babb shot 33% from behind the arc this season. Pretty good if you ask me.

Re: European Players
I don't care where they come from as long as they can ball. Whether it's Europe, America, or Kazakhstan it doesn't matter.
