TJ is making good coin right now as an assistant, which may be one reason.

Re: Rutter a finalist at Minnesota-Duluth

Rutter is a good guy, took a huge chance when McD left and he didn't go with him that he would be able to work for Fred.

Fred speaks very highly of Rutter and his knowledge of the game. He didn't want to leave because his son was in high school and didn't want to move him. IIRC his son will graduate this year, so the timing is right for him to start looking.

Re: Rutter a finalist at Minnesota-Duluth

Rutter lost out to Matt Bowen, head coach at conference rival Bemidji State.

Now the question is does Rutter pursue Bemidji's job?
