Even with the full program meltdown, they still get top talent. What's wrong with these kids?
Exactly, no tourney next year and I'm sure they are not done uncovering stuff
when you're a program that's ineligible to play in the big dance because of academic reasons, its a good idea to sign a player who's been to 3 high schools and was academically inegible part of his senior year.
UCONN is a huge name in college basketball, it is not surprising that kids still want to go there. It is just like Ohio State or USC in football, post-season bans don't matter to all players and when you have the big name you can still get top talent.
I'm not sure Nolan will be great. Big name, but he's had a strange HS bball career. Nevertheless, decent get for UConn - with the trouble and uncertainty they are facing.
I think Nolan could be very similar to Eric McKnight. Late signee. Recruited based off potential.
UCONN will need 10 years of irrelevancy before they'll stop getting big name recruits
