After this years NBA Draft
If things go as the projections stand and Royce gets drafted in the first round:
Iowa State will have more 1st round draft picks then Iowa (Currently both have 8)
Iowa State will have had a draft pick every other year since 2004. Iowa State Cyclones in the NBA Draft - StatSheet.com Iowa Hawkeyes in the NBA Draft - StatSheet.com
I know this site counts Taylor but I'm not complaining.
Being in Cedar Falls the following discovery made me smile.
UNI has only had one guy drafted to the NBA ever... Northern Iowa Panthers in the NBA Draft - StatSheet.com
Drake has 26 but none since 1987

Re: After this years NBA Draft
Drake has all those players from the final four era where they almost made it to the title game. Narrowly lost to kareems team.

Re: After this years NBA Draft
Some on this site are so obsessed about Iowa it's annoying. Face it, Iowa has a better history in both bball and fball, and a much larger fan base in the state. That doesn't mean we can't enjoy our ISU teams without having to qualify everything vs Iowa. It is really a little brother syndrome many in our fan base have, and it's really starting to annoy the heck out of me!

Think about this: 10 years ago, Michigan was the bigger fan base in Michigan. Now they lose to Michigan State every year in both football and basketball

I hope the bar for Cyclone basketball is higher then the Hokeyes program.

I would guess any other teams that can say that would have fared much better on the court.
