Jon Rothstein Iowa State reference
I tweeted at Jon Rothstein, CBS college basketball analyst.
"Postseason team --- just not sure where yet RT @TigerTweets23 can us cyclone fans get an analysis of Iowa state for next year? "
Also went on to say;
"@JonRothstein: Big year ahead in 12-13 for Iowa State's Tyrus "The Virus" McGee. Hardest worker on Cyclones team will flourish w extended minutes."
Take it for what it's worth, but its something during this grueling period between the end of basketball and the beginning of football. Go clones!

And anytime a term like virus, cancer, etc. is thrown around in team sports it just doesn't work for me very well. All I am saying is, we can be a little more creative than just a word that rhymes...

Re: Jon Rothstein Iowa State reference
I like "the Virus" because it is kinda similar to his playing style... Once he comes on the court he brings all of that energy and it "infects" his teammates

The Virus isn't good because it reminds you of the hiv, but McThree is just fundamentally unusable because you can't use it when McGee makes a three without it sounding bad, and you can't use it when he grabs a rebound because it's just confusing then.

Re: Jon Rothstein Iowa State reference
6th man of the year(if it existed) next year for sure. Found it interesting that FH mentioned tonight(at the roadshow) Niang separate from the "four year players" when talking about incoming players....will he be one or two and done type player for us?

I think you are over analyzing the situation a bit...
Plus, when Walters is announcing I don't think he really ever uses nicknames does he? I mean he never yelled out "THUG LIFE FOR 3!" last season did he???
