Do you know why I put up with this 'pitiful job', Mr. Donaghy, why I fetch these folks' lunches and clean up their barfs? Cause they make television. And more then jazz, or musical theater, or morbid obesity, television is the true American artform. -

Does that country speak any English? I'm guessing he may need an interpreter for this.

Languages of Nigeria - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sounds like English is used for official type things, and various groups have their own languages

Re:Melvin Trying out for Olympic Team...from Nigeria!
Is ME a Nigerian citizen? Because if not, I think it's silly. He never lived there, doesn't seem to have a lot of ties to it......I think you should only play for the country you hold citizenship in (dual is fine).
Also, wasn't JVB trying out for team Canada at 1 point?

Also, why does Puerto Rico/USVI have teams? The US owns them.

Who doesn't speak English these days?

Lol at "does he need an interpreter"

Re: Melvin Trying out for Olympic Team...from Nigeria!
Much of Africa speaks English, French, Portuguese, etc from the european colonization during the 16, 17, 1800s and beyond. If you're lucky enough to live in an area with decent schools (near major cities/ not a tribes-person), you likely learn English also.

I'm cheering for the Ejim and 4 Ndiaye starting lineup.

Additional game-time experience would be fantastic from ISU view, and obviously good opportunity for him personally.
Gut feeling: Ejim is going to have breakthrough impact next season. Raw tools are increasingly apparent, but I think he'll develop confidence on several levels — more reliable ball-handler, ability to finish and smoothness/comfort level around the basket.
