bunch of *******
I don't see the jimlad, and don't know your posting history, so apologies if you are joking. If you you'rr serious, I'll assume you've never done yoga. It's a killer, Man, and when used as a supplement to solid weight training, is unbelievable in improving strength, balance and stamina.
Love Yoga. Calming and helps keep you well rounded. I can see why student athletes would enjoy it so much beings that their lives are often quite intense.
Yoga is a great workout when you get over your prejudice against it.
Helps in flexibility and injury prevention, sounds good.
Basketball team was tweeting about hot yoga last fall, and it sounded like it was kicking their butts (in a good way)
This is very popular with athletes and especially in the pros. Not easy but will pay off.
Yoga is a great workout. The only downside is I can't perform some of the moves without my sweaty hands slipping on the mat and faceplanting in a pool of sweat.
Pretty good. People in pro sports have been doing this for awhile. I remember seeing something 15 years ago about WR in the NFL doing ballet to learn body control (I think the main ambassador was Jerry Rice).
Weight training can only do so much for you as far as when you're up to playing a real sport that involves using your whole body. Activities like Yoga, Ballet, and Gymnastics are great for improving overall functional strength and learning body control, which is what you need in many sports. Ballet and Gymnastics are usually too hard for someone to just pick up, but Yoga is something most anybody can do.
It is a great workout and if they keep with it, I think it'll help these guys have even better strength and body control...which is a great, great thing in basketball.
