Re: Dorian Finney-Smith commits to Florida
The goal is to land talent period and let Fred coach them accordingly.

I don't believe there is anything official right now anyway. Correct me if I am wrong but all I saw was the CBS Sports report that was only based on unnamed sources.

And the Big 12 doesn't have 12 teams. So what? Kentucky and Tennessee aren't latecomers to the SEC. They were probably part of naming it.
Have you ever been to Memphis or Louisville? They pride themselves on being urban and southern. And I imagine that being called "northern" would be considered an insult.

I was referring to the coversation that was going on regarding the member who said he would have rather had DFS commit than MT. I fully trust that Freddy will get it done and do it the right way. I also believe that Freddy would rather be stocked with MT's than transfers. His recruiting of transfers is a part of his strategy to stop the bleeding sooner rather than later and to quickly build ISU's reputation so that he can compete for the better recruits. Freddy is more Coach K than he is patino(intentionally lowercased to disrespect the great used car salesman).

That said, RW did in fact leave early because he was able to raise his NBA stock considerably. Was that his goal all along? Yes. Was that his only goal? No. I like RW and I think he really wants to be the best person that he can be. Luckily, his style of play lined up nicely with his goals in mind. He has always been unselfish on the court if his team mates are doing their job. Could be one of the two that you refer to happened by coincidence. A happy coincidence but a coincidence none the less.
