Toby Hegner
Eric Bossi claimed on twitter that Toby Hegner committed to Creighton. Granted idk how hard we we're recruiting him, but its another big guy off the board that we DESPERATELY need. Not saying we need him exactly, but we are gonna be hurting even more next year than we are this year down in the paint.

Re: Toby Hegner
They were probably in on him for a while. Stop stressing, we will be fine
Also, knowing mcdoormat, this guy will transfer in a year or two and we can get. Him then. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketb...-Hegner-127334

Re: Toby Hegner
I have reason to believe that Iowa state stop recruiting him some time ago. I do not know the reason why. I know that Creighton has been recruiting him hard, so I'm not surprised.

Re: Toby Hegner
Yeah, I haven't heard ISU linked with him in some time. Plus, ISU can do better. Man, he is one skinny power forward, only 195 pounds.

Re: Toby Hegner
Yeah, Ho-Hum. I don't fell CFH is desperate for anyone right now... (Well, maybe for Matt Thomas and that is due to our need of outside shooting in 2 years. issue solved) We have almost two years before we need to fill 4 schollys. I am very confident we will have a couple of bigs added by that time, be them JUCO, transfer or true Frosh. Sorry, I don't see missing out a 3 star who would take some time to contribute as a sky-is-falling moment. That said all the luck to him with his time with the Blue Jays, probably a good fit. -

I'm pretty sure if you are under 200 lbs. you can be referred to as a 4, but not as a power forward. "There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr -

I think everyone is forgetting that he is good enough to be an impact player right out of the gate. Plus I think percy becomes a double double guy this season. People seem to forget how good he was getting toward the end of the season. He is going to be a beast!
Barring injury, we are fine. We will have 4 good forwards plus a 6'7 wing that can play the 4 if needed.
Still think we are going to win the conference.

"win the conference" ....? Holy crap, I need more of what you're drinking. Seriously, I wish I saw the glass half full more than half empty like I usually do.
Hope you're right, but I'm thinking that takes at least 1 or 2 NBA players on your team....like Kansas and Baylor both had. But I do think we'll have a talented team but maybe not that type of talented.

But I do think we'll have a talented team but maybe not that type of talented. Hoiberg and Royce both said that Clyburn was the most NBA ready player that we had. And this was even when Royce was playing for us still.

I am very curious to see who we are focusing on for bigs in that class, but am not desperate by any means. We already have Gibson, Niang, and Ejim, two who have proven they can play in the Big 12, and one who I'm very confident in.
Mizzou was desperate for bigs this offseason, and they ended up with a stud in Oriahki.

Re: Toby Hegner
Toby Hegner, or any other 2013 big has no bearing on the success of this coming season.
