That was an awesome dunk to see in person. The video doesn't quite give it justice. 2 things I noticed about Babb. First is that he appears to have bulked up a little. That dude's shoulders were huge. Second is that he still hasn't quite gotten his shot figured out. I know it's the Cap City League and everyone is a chucker, but he was tossing up some bricks.

I recorded the second game tonight at the Cap City League with my phone and was able to get the Babb dunk on video. Also, this is my first attempt at uploading a video to YouTube along with it being my first time to try and embed one in a post. Soooo...here goes nothing. Hope it works!

EDIT: Removed the Embed attempt. Also decided to correctly spell embed...

Just in case here's the link as well: ISU Chris Babb Cap City Dunk 6 20 12 - YouTube

Thanks for posting. This angle really helps folks know what it was like to see it. Babb had the play of the day last night, as well as last Friday. In both cases, I don't think anyone saw them coming. He just exploded into the air and powered the dunks.

P.S. Did you video all of the action? I saw someone at about this angle who seemed to be getting it all. There were some funny moments, such as when Craig faked that Royce had hurt him with a foul to the head. And some scary moments, such as when Georges went down after someone rolled onto his leg. If you have that video, it will give the hype-train a big lurch!

I got most of the action minus a few mins in the beginning of the 2nd half when my phone crashed. I also paused a lot for time outs, free throws, etc... didn't want to not have enough battery. I do think I got the collision where Niang tweaked his ankle. Not so sure about Brackins feinting the injury for ****s and giggles. That was pretty good though. I am hoping to upload all the video I have tonight after work.

It's good to see Babb attacking the rim! He has the athleticism and strength to be a very good slasher and I was a little disappointed that he just kinda hung out at the 3 point line. Lets hope he drives more next year and maybe that'll bail him out if he isn't hitting his treys

I think some of that was by design so that teams had to make a clear choice of doubling on Royce as he drove, or covering our 3-pt shooters on the perimeter.

I think a faster style of play with Lucious will actually play to Babb's strengths a little more. He can still get some transition 3's if he's hitting, but can pick up some dunks/layups in transition too.

Again, thanks for this. It is very cool to have video after the game.

Standing ovation at the end but for a different reason than everyone else?

    Re: Chris Babb

Since this is the Babb thread thought I would start another one for the full game video. Not sure if there's a better way to link to other threads...
