Re: Jon Rothstein on Royce
I have this weird feeling that Royce could be REALLY, really good in the NBA. Probably will never be a greater scorer but his passing and ball handling at THAT size are unreal. He's only gonna get better at ball handling. He's only going to get better at seeing the floor, understanding spacing, understanding the system, etc. At 260-270lbs, who can guard a guy like that? The guy is really strong, even for the NBA. And he'll probably get stronger. Just wait until he's in his 30's - old man strength starts to kick in! He'll be the hulk.
I have a man crush also. I watch the first 35 minutes of the Kentucky game the other night (random I know). Royce was unreal. His post moves, his athleticism, his dribbling, his vision - all elite in that game. And he played like that a good chunk of the year.

Re: Jon Rothstein on Royce
He was definitely head and shoulders about T Rob in that game. It always perplexed me why TRob got all the love when Royce had such a better game.

I think his ceiling is only limited by his mid range game. Like Brackins said the other night if he can improve his jumper he will be dangerous. he could seriously have all the tools at his disposal.
Very excited for Royce and his opportunity. Very excited to see him succeed at the next level.

If Royce gets drafted from the Celtics, he could very easily have a ring in his first few seasons. And yes, Royce was a monster against UK. Everyone, including the CBS announcers said Royce was the best player on the floor that night...even better than unibrow.
“I told you, I don’t care if you’re black or white. I don’t care if you’re rich or poor. I don’t care where you come from, whether it’s Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I don’t care about any of that… But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads -

I'm still angry I missed Fred's only technical in his life because they elected to interview Ashley Judd and her botox swollen face!!

If there is one player that makes me absolutely weak in the knees, it's Royce White. He is by far the most dreamy player in this class. Expand -

There's a number of players in this draft that are going to have solid careers. Royce White + Dion Waiters could be superstars. 41m Jon Rothstein @JonRothstein
If Royce White drops and lands at a playoff team like Atlanta or Dallas, it will be an absolute joke. He'll be handing out assists at will. 41m Jon Rothstein @JonRothstein
After Anthony Davis + Andre Drummond, Royce White + Dion Waiters have the highest ceilings of anyone else in the 2012 NBA Draft..... I agree with Rothstein, but I'd feel better about it if he didn't keep talking about how great Drummond is as well. I don't think Drummond's going to amount to a hill of beans.

Re: Jon Rothstein on Royce
I'm not sure if buy the super star thing, but I do think Royce can make a nice career in the NBA, based on rebounding, driving to the hoop and passing.

However, he happens to be lazy and not like playing basketball so unless he turns those two things around he won't reach his ceiling.
