With all this talk about the NBA Draft, Royce and his ceiling, Craig, etc..........who had the best NBA career of ISU players drafted?

To make it a little more interesting, pick one guard and one "big" (forward/center/wing).

Here is a list of all ISU players drafted in the draft.

A personal note....I did not realize until I looked this up that the veterinarian in my hometown when I was growing up (Delmar Diercks) had played for ISU and was drafted by the Knicks. He was the vet in our town for like 40 years! Learn something every day.

Hornacek was the first to come to mind, probably because of my age, but he was a big part of a prominent team in his later years and was in the league for a long time.

Tinsley was on sportscenter more for his shootings at the strip clubs than his play.

Freddy and Cato played a number of years. Grayer got stuck on some bad teams.

Hornacek was 46th player taken in the draft and I believe had more points and assists than every player in that draft.

Hornacek likely the best. Tinsley 2nd, Jeff Grayer 3rd and then Fred 4th for guards.

For bigs, Cato I believe had the most points and stuck around longer, while Don Smith didn't score as much but also hung for several years. Big Vic scored more per year, but didn't hang as many seasons.
