Would be nice to get an Iowa kid on the team and he appears to have a solid game. I have to think though, that he'd be a Hawkeye if they'd offer.

i'm sure since ISU offered, Fran will be on the phone by friday.........making a decision by August is nice. Have 2 scholarships filled before school starts would be a good start to a 6 man class.

If Fran offers I'll be amused. I don't expect him to but if he does I have to think it means he whiffed on others.

From the way that we are recruiting it seems like we are recruiting a lot of 2014 prospects. We will only have 2 scholarships to give for the 2014 class, possibly 1 if Bubu isn't on scholarship next year; assuming we fill all of the 2013 class scholarships and we have no turnover which is highly unlikely. I think the 2013 class could be weak and i could see us not using 1 or 2 of the scholarships for the 2013 class and instead using them on the 2014 class. I hope this isn't the case because we are going to need a great 2013 class to fill the void of our 5 seniors that we lose after this year.

It's not really transitive, because we have a bunch of schollies to offer. Iowa does not. And of course we whiff on recruits -- everybody does.

I can't read the article, but are you worried he was focused on football in July? What high school football player isn't?

The fact that this guy played two sports may mean he's a little behind the curve in basketball, which could be a good sign.

IDK, I just read it as he is changing his focus because football season is coming up next, the same he'll focus on bball in the winter. Not some statement about what he plans to do in college.
