Really - ??? I usually catch them from about 6:05 - 6:30 and they're (at least lately) talking about Travis' son, other odd ball stuff, rather than current sports talk. If they talk about the important stuff starting at 6:00, I must not be in the groove.
I dont ever start listening until 6:15 or 6:30ish, and to me at least, it always seems like the good stuff comes right away, and it get worse as the show goes on.
So in other words, they didn't say anything that the average fan didn't already know. They offered nothing new in the way of expertise, insight or perspective. They vomited up benign drivel that could have just as easily been posted by some message board moron months ago and was, many many times. Yeah, that's good radio.
Sounds on par for the central Iowa sports stations
Much higher than anticipated? ESPN projected him 21st and he went 16th.
Are they supposed to do a full two hour show just on Royce White today?
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Royce White of Iowa State goes much earlier than expected, 16th to Houston."
Tweet from Mike Hlas, CR Gazette (Hawkeye school paper)
I honestly don't know why anyone would listen to those two talk about anything. Even if it was non-stop ISU talk I wouldn't listen. They are completely devoid of radio talent.
"Missouri is free to create an enduring basketball rivalry with Auburn."
1. That is much higher in first round terms.
2. Yes.
So if an Iowa player gets drafted in the first round of an NFL draft, are they still supposed to talk about it for two full hours or does this only apply to ISU players and basketball?

Maybe it's because I've been reading Bill Simmons and he was convinced someone was going to take him before Boston picked but 16th was right in the range I expected him to get picked.
Also, I've never listened to a second of this show.
I hate these guys! LOL! I'll say it....Thanks Royce! Thanks for being a great representative of ISU and the state of Iowa! We loved watching you last year! You are a great player and an even better player!
How can you hate these guys?! Look how awesome they look.

We're still talking about sports talk radio (or any radio, for that matter), in this thread, right?
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

I don't know what your problem is today but that was a joke. Your sarcasm detector usually works better than that. I don't listen to central Iowa hack radio and could really care less. Seriously, take it easy Clark. It's Friday!

May perpetual light shine upon him.
I tuned in once passing through from Minnesota and they were talking about getting dogs castrated or something totally unrelated to sports. I have never listened again.

I'll tell you what my problem is, I got onto CF before I had any morning caffeine. Everyone knows the sarcasm detector is powered by caffeine. It was my mistake.

That's probably what bugged me the most, I fired up the iheartradio app on my phone assuming they would be talking about Royce, and instead they are talking about the pros and cons of a NFL team in London.
