NATEizKING.. Allen took more shots because he's a better shooter. Who would you have taking the last shot down by 3? Booker or Allen? If you think Booker I am worried for you.

Allen got owned when he tried to take the last shot against ok st. because everyone in the stadium knew he was gonna try to make something happen off the dribble. Truthfully i'd rather have scott taking any last minute 3s though.

Even I might lift OU to 4th or 5th solely on that.

Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
No doubt the loss of Royce and Scotty will have impact (and I certainly wouldn't mind having Allen's high-sides available for another season).
But ISU won’t finish 8th in 2012-13 unless (at least) one of the following happens:
1. ISU is at the bottom of a four-way tie-breaker for fifth
2. Both Clyburn and Lucious perform no better than sixth-man level
3. Unforeseen snags (injury/disciplinary/Fred decides to bolt mid-season to coach Houston Rockets)
4. The Big 12 has a “Big East” number of tournament bids.
5. Noticeable drop in performance among almost all six returning players who averaged double-digit minutes last season.

Those guys were nice roll players, but no denying Scotty, Allen, Royce did a majority of work night in and night out. Respectfully disagree.
Clones will have a better true post presence this year and have vastly improved defense. Does anyone else remember the night in night out threads about how horrid Scott's defense was. He did a nice job on the defensive glass but if he got out above the 3 point line guards would blow right past him.

Allen b/c he was our only guard who could get his 3 point shot when he wanted. Did he take some poor shots? Yeah, but he still shot 37% which was solid and did it while hitting some tough shots to get us back in games. McGee is a close 3rd for best 3 point shooter last year. Booker is a good shooter for a guy who shot 1 a game but he wasn't one of our top 3 point shooters despite his average

First, what is a mortal lock? I think Niang is going to be great and it's going to be hard to keep him off the floor, but Gibson did start a few times last year.

It's an internet lock. Like when we were a lock to beat Drake last year and Texas in the Big 12 tourney!
Gibson is a good player. He just didn't show anything that makes me believe he will be able to keep Niang from playing more minutes and scoring more
