Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
Kansas Jayhawks lead the 2012-13 Big 12 Power Rankings - NCB - ESPN
1. Kansas Jayhawks
2. Texas Longhorns
3. Baylor Bears
4. Kansas State Wildcats
5. Oklahoma State Cowboys
6. Oklahoma Sooners
7. West Virginia Mountaineers
8. Iowa State Cyclones - The 23-11 Cyclones from last season were built with transfers and will miss three of them this coming season, including the Houston Rockets' first-round pick, Royce White. But coach Fred Hoiberg has another one waiting to go in Michigan State transfer Korie Lucious, who could be one of the top guards in the Big 12 immediately.Georges Niang, a 6-7 undersized Massachusetts power forward, was a target of a number of high-level schools and should help quickly.

Swap us with one of the Oklahoma schools and I'd agree with the list

Under the radar again...that's cool. The nobody respects us card is an easy one for CFH to play.
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
looks like all ESPN guys talk to each other and don't do research
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
I expected better from Fran, he didn't even mention Clyburn.
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
Fran regularly gives us props so there's no way he's underestimating us
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
You're killin' me, Fran!!! WTF???
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
I guess the cyclones are going to have to prove "experts" wrong again
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
always better to outperform expectations than under perform.

Kansas State at #4? With a new coach and what they have coming back?

KSU is everyone's sexy pick this year. Don't know why.
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
it's ok. Honestly, that's ok.
You gotta be respectable before you can be respected.
Right now, everyone's so very willing to believe that we were a fluke last year. We were Royce White and a couple guys who could walk and chew bubblegum at the same time. And honestly, it's easy to believe that.
Last year's team thrived on the lack of respect for who they were and what they could do. I like it when ISU teams play with a chip on their shoulder. This just makes the chip bigger.
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
Whatever, Fran. See you in March.
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
I know Georges is going to be great. But I don't understand why they seem to think that he's going to jump right into the starting line-up or something (though I do think he's going to help a lot and get a lot of p.t.). I'm hoping Clyburn (and the rest of the team for that matter) is seeing this stuff and the preseason rankings and get really motivated for the season.
Re: Fran Fraschilla: 2012/13 BigXII Power Rankings
With that said, our ranking is very fair. Iowa State fans think we should be higher which is to be expected but......
we lost our top 3 scorers
our top rebounder
our top 3 assist men
our 2 best 3 point shooters
