@DaveTelep: Matt Thomas was worth a 4am wake up call and a cross country flight. He's in his own category of shooters. Fantastic hoops player.

I was watching some of the AAU HS bball on ESPNU a couple nights ago and one of the announcers had Matt Thomas in his top 5 players to watch. I believe he had an #83 ranking on ESPN according to this guy, not sure of his name. Hopefully he's a good one.

Doesn't Matt seem to be following the Georges Niang model from last summer? We were one of the first big schools in on both. The recruiting guros didn't know a lot about either when we first started recruiting them. Hoiberg targeted both and made both one of his top priorities. And both had really great senior AAU seasons which really made the recruiting guys take notice and start to talk about how we got a 'steal'.

Hoiberg's ability to see talent before a lot of coaches is pretty exciting to me.
