Quality recruits: Is anyone as worried as me that we won't get any more?

Yeah, but there are very few games changing 6'10 guys. The guys you listed were all phenomenal college players. For everyone of those guys there's a guy that' 6'10 but can't do anything but look intimidating. Give me the athletic 6'8 or 6'9 like Godfrey or even Dendy over Railey or THompson. My point is an average PF type is better to have than an average Center type.

Very true.....very true. But i think you have to find those guys to have a legit chance of doing something big in the tournament.

I've never been less worried about ISU recruiting in my entire life...and I'm old. This class will be outstanding.

absolutely....ive never had more confidence that we will start getting better talent more often now that CFH is in town. Even more pumped bout the recruiting than floyd was around....and CFH isnt going anywhere so recruits know their head coach will still be here for years to come!

HOKs will get all the tavenhawk born and bred offspring here in Iowa. Hoiberg is like 3-0 outside of Iowa against Fran if you count Thomas---a guy who eliminated Fran months ago.

Let Fran have the lifetime hawk fan iowa boys.....ill take Thomas and Morris over gessel and woodbury any day. Mark my words that Woodbury will be an avg Big 10 baller and our tempo will take him out of the game for the most part when we play them.

Still a baseless comment. He plays to the players strengths. We have not seen him with a post heavy or completely balanced team yet.

I agree he has done a good job of coaching to his players' strengths but a B12 roster must have at least 2 guys who can adequately defend B12 quality low posts. As of now, Gibson is the only guy on the projected 2013-14 roster who can defend the low post so Fred has to sign at least one for the 2013 class and it is going to be difficult to sign a good one. Was listening to some recruiting analysts over the weekend and they said the 2013 class is very light on high major low post prospects which will make the task even tougher.

I think because the college coaches see the potential. They have a huge body in the middle that starts for them and is probably good for the AAU scene, but will not be a major player in college.

Martin is long, lean, and can jump out of the gym. Good shot blocker with those long arms, but has some room to improve in his offense and defensive skillset. Those can be taught, but you can't teach his 7'2" wing span. Also you can tell he is the most explosive, and best athlete on his team.

Also, I'm not sure on the genetics, but he looks like he could still grow a couple of inches before college. All in all he has the tools to be a better college player than any of his teammates that start before him. That is reflective in more offers.

Martin is young for his class (currently 16). He could easily add height. That's part of the reason I like him as a prospect.
