Re: A look at Lucious and Clyburn
I'm guessing that Palo's playing time will be pretty close to Lucious. Looking at their career stats Palo has a higher FG percentage, higher 3 pt. percentage, higher FT percentage, gets to the line 3 times as often, has more rebounds and less turnovers.
During our 2 NCAA tournament games Palo played 27 minutes - more than McGee, Gibson or Booker. I see his playing time going up from last year with Allen and Christipherson gone.

The B12 isn't as physical as the B10 and BEast.

We're in big trouble if that turns out to be true.

So what you are saying is that we need to start adressing KL as tKL?
Re: A look at Lucious and Clyburn
The improved defense alone with this squad will make it competitive. Tie that into the depth and balance it looks to have and this new team is looking to be very good.
I would say the team without Lucious and Will would have a darn good chance at making the tourney. The fact that we have them comming on as starters puts this team over the top.
Last years team could shoot a little and had Royce. If one of those things was off that night we had a rough time. This year's team should be dirty. They have lots of capable guys and lots of guys who do the little things to win ball games.
McGee - Hustle Hustle Hustle Defense Defense and a ton more Hustlel
Melvin - Pound for Pound one of the best post defenders and rebounders dispite
being a bit undersized. Plus he gets angry we all remember the Melvin technical
Babb - Takes the toughest job on the court night in and night out complains to no one
Bubu - Cardinal and Gold ooze from the guy's ears. Its going to take a Mac Truck to keep him off the floor
Booker - Sets the tone in the paint off the bench big body and hates to lose
I got bored but could keep going on this all day. This years team will be tough! Fred will work the X' and O's to get them in the right spots but just look at the scrappy play that is comming back.

Sorry, but you are way overestimating some of these guys if you think we could lose KL and Clyburn and still make the tourney. We in all likelihood will make it this year, although it's certainly not a guarantee WITH them.

Nothing against Bubu but if anything he's going to get less minutes then last season. He was our only true point guard last year but now that we got Lucious we won't depend on him as much as we did last year as far as a true point guard standpoint. He'll still get good minutes don't get me wrong but no way near the minutes Lucious is going to get.

Re: A look at Lucious and Clyburn
I just think we are overall a more balanced team.
Starting with PG we have a true PG in Lucious who is a RS Sr and is quick, can score, and distribute the ball well. O yeah he also played for Michigan State and in 2 NCAA tourneys. Backing up him is Bubu a RS Jr who comes in under control and can run the team while also playing solid defense.
SG. Babb a RS Sr can hit 3's and play great defense. Followed by Tyrus who can also hit 3's, makes hustle plays, and plays good defense.
SF. Clyburn the RS Senior who is 6'7 can take it to the hole, can hit 3's, play solid defense, and overall just score with ease.
PF. Ejim the Jr and 2 year starter. He is solid and we can look to get 10 and 6 from him night in and night out. Followed by a top 100 freshman Niang that has every post move in the book.
C. Percy who showed that he is raw and is only going to get bettter. Good in the post and hopefully has improved his defense. Then Booker a RS Sr who comes in and can play solid defense and step out and hit a 3 every now and then.
That's a 9 man rotation right there. Any of the other 3 freshmen (Long, Okoro, SDW) could see spot minutes too. We are deep at every position and good offensively and defensively. A lot more of a traditional team for sure. I say we will finish 5th in the Big 12 and be a 7 seed in the NCAA tourney and upset a 2 seed to get to the Sweet 16!
Here is a look at the Depth Chart IMO
