It is going to rise, and quite a bit from 104. Hopefully up to 50 or better.

I don't remember for sure. Either way, that's a huge jump!
Freddieball is fun. Correct - with Rivals. But Bossi watched him several times during July, including the 9 of 10 from 3 pt land performance. Bossi has indicated he'll easily be top 100 Rivals too.

Does anyone know how we stand with Washington? I know we're in his top 11 but do we have a good shot with him?

As I wrote in the article, Thomas will be in ESPN's top 40. I'm pretty confident in that.

Matt Thomas ESPN Top 40, or Unrivaled CF dropping by next Wednesday? This signature has received the stamp of disapproval from that one guy. -

Ratings only matter when they make our recruits look good , but seriously the next few years of Cyclone bball could be the most anticipated in history, maybe not in the eyes of the national media but Cyclone nation's excitement could be at an all time high.

That is great news! Obviously well deserved after the summer Matt and Monte had.
By the way, according to his twitter account Matt was in Ames yesterday.

I see Baylor is in on the #2, #3, and #4 players on the list. Think they can come up with the coin to land all three of them?

Rankings are a big deal to sports. It's like a first impression on people. Expectations don't always get met, but having them is a great sign, and help lead to good things. This is helping us get some great recognition. The more people notice us, the better! Gawd basketball is getting exciting.

Gawd basketball is getting exciting. You are right....it is important for perception. And it is also important because it shows that Hoiberg (and TJ, Cornell, and Matt) have an eye for talent. They were in on Niang before he blew up and they were in on Matt before he blew up.
