Re: Cyclones ranked 8th on new ESPN basketball recruiting poll

Would love to see us stay in the top 15 by the end of the year. Thomas will greatly benefit from Hoiberg's coaching. Already one of the best young shooters in the country - the rest of the intangibles will develop at ISU.

We need 2 quick commits so we can be #1 for awhile.

True. Then 20 years from now when we have a new coach, people will be like "man I miss the days when Hoiberg was bringing in #1 ranked classes".

20 years from now Fred will only be about 60. Fully expect him to be rocking Hilton at that point....

Cool to see that the Big 12 has three teams in the top 10 though...

I'm impressed and feel as great about the program as I ever have and that includes under Larry, because I think Hoiberg has us on an upward track rather than the roller-coaster volatility of the LE track. It's a great time to be a Cyclone.

    Cheers
Why drag ex coaches through the mud, different coach, different times. LE did great when he had the talent, yes Hoiberg looks to be bringing consistency to the program, but no need to hate on ex coaches. I am excited as any person, just be happy with what we have now, no need to be Captain Negative, unless you want the title, I am sure we can work that out.

excited about the 2 we have but will feel a lot better when we get a couple quality bigs to go with them. Gibson and Niang are gonna need some help upfront.

It's still early. You don't need to worry about bigs of Morris/Thomas' age until, like next year.

Not sure how you got that I'm "Captain Negative" out of that, but..okay. I'll make it simple for you: this seems more stable and better than even some of our successful periods of the past.

Hopefully other recruits see we already have 2 quality recruits committed and want to join them. This could be a special class
