After comparing this upcoming years team compared to last years team I think we will be a much better team this year. Here is why:
-A true PG with experience(Lucious) and a true PG backup with experience(Bubu) compared to one true PG last season.
-A true SF in Clyburn compared to no true SF last year.
-Being 2-3 deep at every position compared to last year having one true experienced PG, way too many SGs, and no true SF.
-6 returning players that played significant minutes last year compared to 3 returning players that played significant minutes in the 2010-11 season.
-Having 5 seniors(4 being RS Seniors) compared to 2 RS Seniors last year.
-A better defensive team adding Clyburn and Lucious to replace not the best defenders in Scott, Allen, and Royce.
-4 freshmen(added depth) compared to 2 freshmen last season.
-Yeah we lost Royce who could do it all. We lost Scott and Chris who could shoot it well from 3 and the free throw line. I think Clyburn will be able to replace most of what Royce did scoring wise. I think Lucious can replace Royce's passing. I think collectively as a team we can replace Royce's rebounding. I think all our posts collectively can replace Royce's post prescence. Clyburn, Lucious, Babb, and McGee can all make up for Scott and Allen's 3's. I just think overall we will be a much better team with more experience, balance, and depth at every position.
Here is a look at the Depth Chart from last year and the Depth Chart this year IMO.

What we lost though was the mismatch Royce created, and a rebounder/banger down low who was strong as a bull. We won a lot of games off of Royce's mismatch and him finding the open 3 when they doubled.

Clyburn will create mismatches. Maybe not as many as Royce did but he is 6'7 and can post up and shoot the trey. Lucious's quickness will also make him a mismatch against some of the slower PG's in the league.
We should be better simply because we shouldn't need to score as many points. White + Christopherson = two HUGE defensive liabilities. When those two and Gibson were on the floor together it was literally no defense.

this is very true... anyone who could run an 8.0s 40 could blow by SC
Biggest concern is getting the rebounding and defense from the PF and C positions on your chart. If that is adequate, then yes, watch out.
There are some teams on the schedule that will be a match-up problem for ISU, though. ISU can still create their own match-up nightmares, especially with WC playing along with 3 other guards. Good luck guarding that.

Agreed. Instead of Allen and Scott guarding we will have Lucious and Clyburn. Lucious averaged a half steal a game in 17 minutes a game at Michigan State. Clyburn averaged a steal a game at Utah. Babb averaged a steal a game for us to compare how good of defense Clyburn and Lucious played. Also Percy with a year experience and an off season to work on his defense should be a lot better. We will be a lot quicker and I personally think this year could be the first time we see a consistent pressing team.

It should be noted that Royce was the leader in steals and blocks.

Clyburn averaged 8 rebounds a game at Utah. Niang/Gibson/Booker will make up for rebounds. Also Babb and McGee are both good rebounding guards. I think we will be fine rebounding.

...
Bubu didn't have any experience after logging 450 game minutes in 2010-11 but now is an experienced backup after adding 290 minutes last year?
