Re: 1 past player on last years/this years team
I initially thought people were crazy when I first saw them say Cato for last year's team, but the more I thought about it the more sense it made. Fizer is also an excellent choice. It is also intriguing to imagine Dedric on last year's team, even though there were several options at the off guard positions.

Lafester Rhodes.
Being serious though I would put RW on this years team and Fizer on last year's team.

CJ Bruton or Jerome Harper.

Re: 1 past player on last years/this years team
How about Stevie Johnson or Jared Homan for last year.. the obvious choice for this year is RW but other than him am going to say for this year i would love if we had Scotty back.. I think we are going to miss his shooting
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

Re: 1 past player on last years/this years team
Cato in a heartbeat. Last year's team was great offensively and weak defensively. As great as Hoiberg and Fizer were offensively, I don't they would improve us as much as Cato. Tinsley would take from Royce's game. Cato would just complement the 3 pt shooting. Fizer a close 2nd.

I would say Cato or Hornacek. I know most on here would take Tinsley at PG, but Hornacek could flatout play.

They say that English surnames came from what you did with your life. I'm so glad my last name isn't Dickinson. -
Re: 1 past player on last years/this years team
Yeah, Tinsley or Cato would fill the biggest needs, though I agree with those who are questioning whether Royce would be as effective with a Tinsley on the team.
I think I would go with Cato on both teams, as he allows you to extend your defense and take more chances, and was capable of dominating the inside play with his presence.

Re: 1 past player on last years/this years team
Last years team didn't have a true point/shot blocking presence. Tinsley and Cato would have been an enormous help and likely would have bumped us up to a 4-5 seed.
This years team we have good guards and a true point. We are young inside. There isn't a lot of proven inside scorers. Yes, Gibson had a good shooting percentage, but he was a big benefactor of Royce. I'd take an inside scorer on this team. Fizer or White.
