1 past player on last years/this years team

If you could choose any player from ISU past to play on last years team, who would you pick? What about this years team? Also how would last years season have ended differently? For last year i would pick either tinsley or cato. Tinsley because we didnt have a pg and cato because I think we would have beat baylor twice gotten a higher seed ect. We didnt have a shot blocker last year. Think how many week side blocks he wouldve gotten w guys trying to post royce.

I would go Cato for both last year and this year. All the post D you can handle and some sweet dump-offs for easy buckets and highlight dunks from RW last year and Lucious this year.

tinsley- I would have loved to see Royce play with a true point guard.

I'd go with Cato also for last year's team. I started to realize that ISU's success from last year came because of what Royce could do with the ball in his hands as the point guard. If we plug in a point guard, suddenly you aren't maxing out Royce's abilities. If you disagree with me, have you watched any of Royce's NBA summer league games? I have and nearly all the good things that happened for Royce and his team happened when he was controlling the ball. While Royce is still a solid player not having the ball in his hands, you aren't even close to maxing out his abilities. I think Kevin McHale is somewhat realizing that now too. It will be interesting to see how they play him once they get to the regular season. At a minimum, McHale talked about how they love Royce running the fast break when he gets the defensive rebound.

I don't know if that would have helped or hurt Royce. What made Royce great wasn't his scoring ability but rather the fact that he was good at so many things and could facility as a big man. With Tinsley he wouldn't be the facilitator and I don't know how he would have played off the ball. Now, don't get me wrong, I think Royce would have gotten some easier looks at the hoop and benefited from that.

Fizer. Still would get a good amount of inside D plus great rebounding and a scorer that Royce could pass to.

So many awesome possibilities...Cato w/ last years or this years team, RW or Fizer on this years team, Tinsley or Taylor on last years team, Stinson or Hoiberg on this years team...my head is going to explode!
