Re: Dustin Hogue Return Visit
Here is the jist of it.
He was really impressed by ISU and Hoiberg. Definitely coming back for an official visit. There were some quotes from his coach, etc.

Basically Paul interviewed his coach who was on the visit with him.

[QUOTE=Cyclonepride;2998879]Yeah, just need a hint. Like does it rhyme with omitted?
Not yet but he was impressed and will come back for an official. Fred charmed them both (he brought his IHCC coach). He is serious about his education now and the academic people he met with also impressed him-(he was a non-qualifier out of hs)
Considering 5 other schools with us including EIU and Detroit (his brother is a Lion)

Re: Dustin Hogue Return Visit
Just because someone comments about Iowa does not mean it's little brother syndrome. Iowa fans basically make the same coments about us on there websites. It's called a rivalry. Rival fans make coments about there main rivals sucking. It's how it works. Has nothing to do with Iowa State fans being insecure and Hawk fans are not insecure when they say we suck. For the record, Iowa sucks.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Re: Dustin Hogue Return Visit
Sorry, hard to have little brother syndrome when you routinely are kicking their *** on an annual basis in various sports.
Would be willing to bet if Fred wants Hogue, he will be ours. I am sure Fred wouldn't mind setting IHCC up as a "feeder" program either on guys, so this would be a nice relationship builder.

IHCC hoops lands top Juco The Ottumwa Courier
Here's an article I found. Looks like he'll have major competition at the wing position at ihcc. They have 2 juco all Americans transferring in this year. They'll def compete for a national championship this year.

Re: Dustin Hogue Return Visit
I would much rather have Zeigler over Hogue.

No kidding. There's always been a ton of talent filtering through IHCC it'd be a real plus for us to be able to plug holes with these kids.

Re: Dustin Hogue Return Visit
I've seen a lot of kids come through there and take offers from teams outside the state. It would be nice if Fred had a good relationship with them, to maybe keep a couple of those kids in Ames.

He'd be saying something like : "Oh, that uh, that there's an RV. Yeah, yeah, I borrowed it off a buddy of mine. He took my house, I took the RV. It's a good looking vehicle, ain't it?... But, don't you go falling in love with it now, because, we're taking it with us when we leave here next month" Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"
