RECRUITING: Clayton Custer takes unofficial to Iowa State

Per a source, 2014 Overland Park, (Kan.) point guard Clayton Custer took an unofficial visit to Iowa State this weekend. I've linked his Rivals profile. I'll try to get in touch with Clayton this evening for more information.

Well he is white so I think it's still ok.

I don't recall if he actually made a visit back in June. Is this his second trip to Ames? Sounds good to me.

Custer said that former Kansas State head coach Frank Snyder and South Carolina has recently cooled on his recruitment.

My nephew, Andrew, goes to the same HS as Clayton but they had never formally met. One day they were passing each other, and Clayton noticed that Andrew was wearing an ISU T-shirt. He stopped Andrew and told him that he was being recruited by ISU and asked what he thought of the Cyclones. My nephew said, "They're awesome, dude. They got the Mayor - Fred Hoiberg." That happened at the end of the school year in May, and so it is great that Clayton was able to see that my nephew was spot-on with his assessment of our head coach!
