It looks like they updated the weight of the players on Cyclones.com.

Ejim from 220 to 230
Percy from 245 to 260
Niang from 235 to 245
Okoro from 220 to 230
Long from 195 to 210

Re: Putting on some muscle/weight
Cool. Next year's results will be determined by Booker, Niang, Ejim and Percy's abilities to defend and rebound in the paint. Hopefully those guys play like 255, 245, 230 and 260.

Okoro is what, 6'4? Dude must be built like a fire hydrant.

Re: Putting on some muscle/weight
With Okoro being 6' 4", 230 lbs sounds a little heavy. He is supposed to be a small forward type ??
230 lbs sounds like a undersized power foward.

Remember Kantrail Horton? He was 6'1" and played at about 225. He played at the 1 and the 3 in a three guard offense.

230 lbs sounds like a undersized power foward. I remember Jon Rothstein saying on twitter that Okoro is cut and built like a truck. I think he will play the 3, but I have no idea. I do love that he plays solid defense, something I think we were missing last year (outside of Babb and Ejim).

Re: Putting on some muscle/weight
The thing that our young guys put on the most weight. Percy, Naz, and Dorsey-Walker all put on 15 lbs a piece. Niang, Okoro, and Ejim all put on 10 lbs a piece. It's going to be nice to have our two Centers at 260 and 255 and our two PF's at 245 and 230.

230 lbs sounds like a undersized power foward. Okoro is 6'5 230 lbs. He is a SF/SG. Not a big scorer but a solid defender. He is not a PF. Pretty much a clone of Babb who is 6'5 225 lbs. Okoro just doesn't shoot the 3 as much as Babb.

Re: Putting on some muscle/weight
What's Melvin...6'6"?? Okoro at the same weight and an inch shorter, playing/defending the 3, is great, IMO.

Re: Putting on some muscle/weight
Melvin does look bigger when I see him on campus! I'm liking the weight increases. Okoro is the same height and 5 lbs more than Babb. I don't think that's a very big deal!

Re: Putting on some muscle/weight
Well, you would hope it's muscle. Gibson going from 245 to 260 where it's not muscle would not be good.

Re: Putting on some muscle/weight
Bubu will probably start losing some weight....
