Who's the next HS big now?

The Washington news just ruined my Sunday. He's a passing and scoring big, any other bigs we are going after with his skill set? How about Vince Hunter?

What are our chances with Hunter and is he an actual 3 or is he more like Ejim...an undersized 4?

He is 6'-7", so I would say he is a 3/4. Shows signs of developing an outside shot and handle.

It hasn't been announced that we've had contact with him this live period, but he doesn't seem to be as well connected to some of these "analysts" as these other kids, and therfore you don't hear much - about any school really.

He's been a late bloomer - the first I heard his name was a Scout (or mabye it was CBS) Podcast back in May. He just got moved into at least one (maybe more) top 100s this summer. Memphis and ISU seem to be the biggest schools interested. He took a visit to Memphis back in Aug (i think), but I haven't heard much from the Memphis guy (John Martin of Commercial Appeal) about him since.

I have no doubt that our staff will fill this class out with quality players, and that with another great season, the following classes can be even better,

Anyone know if Washington is still planning on taking his visit here on the 27th?

Hunter would be a great pickup. Maybe Hogue, Hunter & Walker? Leave a spot open for possible transfer.

Well since Iowa just signed Jok it's almost guaranteed Hogue will be coming to Iowa State I would say. Haven't heard much about Hunter or Walker lately. If we were planning on signing all of our guys for the first signing period that would be the best case scenario signing all 3 of those guys. And we might only have 3 scholarships open right now depending on the Bubu situation which we will find out about tomorrow. I think we might save a scholarship or two either for the second signing period in the spring or for a transfer like you said. Or bank it for a class of 2014 player. Many options available right now. Our first thing we need to figure out though is if Bubu is still on the team so that we know how many scholarships we have available for the 2013 class.

Bubu already plead not guilty. No trial date set as of yet. Tomorrow is the arraignment date for the other guy. Nothing about his status will change for quite a while. (See Register article from 9/19/2012)
