Or I could be wrong...always an option. :) You have heard from who? Unless it's a reliable source that knows this is a fact don't say it. If it is a reliable source that knows then say who it is please.

Where have you seen Fred saying that he is crossing them off his list? Link, please? All that I have seen here is speculation and unsubstantiated rumors.
I'm sure you can do better than that. I'm interested. Aclone, asclone, asclown, ********. YOU KNOW why Fred hasn't said he's crossed them off his list.

It's recruiting. I trust who I heard from but I also know that a week later things could change 180°.
All this arguing is stupid. I didn't hear it from Fred so there's a distinct possibility that it's incorrect or dated information but I'm pretty sure that nobody on this board hears from Fred. If people are looking for facts they may be looking in the wrong place.
Asking for sources is laughable. Nobody is going to out a source unless it's from twitter or printed/internet story.

I get a kick out of those demanding proof. If posters only stated things with links or quotes, this would be a pretty boring place, with like 5 posts per day.
Hell, even Fred/Corn/Otz/Matt A themselves don't always have facts to go off. They only know what they hear from the kids and their coaches and a gut feel. Obviously these kids can change day by day, so nothing is set in concrete.

Yeah, proven facts would be such a buzzkill. Anyone heard if we are still on Jabari Parker? I heard he was visiting tomorrow. Originally Posted by AltHawk Why would it? Re: Dustin Hogue commits
Sherron Dorsey-Walker was talking to Maurice Jones on Twitter about possibly playing at Iowa State. That is more of a source than saying "I have heard we aren't recruiting this guy anymore" and not stating from who.
He also is from Saginaw, Michigan which a third of our players are from Michigan. Also if Bubu is not on the team anymore we will have a Sophomore PG with little experience and a freshman PG with no experience for the 2013-14 season. It would make sense for Maurice Jones to come to Iowa State considering all those things.
Vince Hunter is also from Michigan and like i said we need another forward for the 2013-14 season. Then Ejim graduates which means we will need another 4/3 player for the 2014-15 season and after. So why would Vince Hunter no longer be on our radar? Makes zero sense considering we still have 2-3 more scholarships to fill for the 2013 class.

"Possibly Playing" is not the same as "recruiting", so don't be critical of others suggesting Jones was/is not being actively recruited by Fred and the staff.

Yes, after all, it would be completely impossible for Fred to say, "Oh, with the commits we have, I'm no longer recruiting wing forwards".
Or, for Hunter to say, "No, Iowa State is not longer recruiting me."
Of course, a thirrd possibility for a lack of such documentation is that it simply is speculation, and not true.
Come to think of it, just the same as the post that definitively stated that we're not after the kid that CW just posted will be visiting.
