Chris Thomas has decomitted from Xavier

I don't think it matters that Chris Thomas and Matt Thomas play the same position, since we aren't really strong at the SF position I wouldn't see any problem with having 2 SGs with the talent level the two Thomas boys have...assuming we even have a chance with Chris

We are Marquette now! I assume you are counting Bubu's scholly which is probably a valid assumption. That being said, i think we save at least one, if not 2, for 2014.

If Bubu remains on the team we have 2 left to give. 3 left if he is kicked off the team. I think we bank 1 at most. We badly need Bubu to remain on the team so that if we do fill all 6 of the 2013 scholarships we will still have 3 scholarships to give to the 2014 class. If he is kicked off the team we have to fill 7 scholarships for the 2013 class and 2 scholarships for the 2014 class; and if that happens we would more than likely bank 1 of the 2013 scholarships so that we would have 3 to give to the 2014 class. So there is zero benefit of losing Bubu. Banking a scholarship is never a good thing.

I think the scholly that was going to be "banked" was used on that guy that has one year to from Juco

This is why Amardi was the perfect fit. A position of need, a mature/physical defender, 1 year to play so if he sucks, it's almost no loss. This was a risk-free scholarship, IMO.

O i know. I wasn't trying to say you or anyone wants him off the team. I was just saying the benefits of him staying on the team compared to not staying on the team. Thinking out loud more or less.

Yeah good find by the staff for sure. Great way to balance out the classes.
