Re: Williams Blog: Five Questions for MBB Media Day
Maybe Georges' mom will put some cayenne pepper in her famous cookies to bring out the mean streak in him. We could really use a relentless player with a little bit of nasty -- kind of like Homan but with better post moves.
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr
Re: Williams Blog: Five Questions for MBB Media Day
what's with the lack of love for Booker? He is definitely underappreciated. He'll be a factor from deep as he was last year and be fighting for a spot in the top 5.
Re: Williams Blog: Five Questions for MBB Media Day
This doesn't have to do anything with the upcoming season but I'd like to know if Fred talked to Royce or McHale at all while he was going through all of that last week.
Re: Williams Blog: Five Questions for MBB Media Day
my questions:
*any potential changes defensively (more pressure, or press?) now that you have more depth/athleticism (don't have to hide scotty or royce?)
*any of the freshman potential redshirts, how to you evaluate that?
*how much did UVA pay us for backing out of playing us in Hilton
*what did you learn this summer from being able to do workouts for the first time?
*a lot of fans debate what's the appropriate non-conf schedule - are we involved in any good non-conf tournaments in future years?
*why did we decide to play UMKC on the road?
*what's the latest on bubu and when/could he return to the team?
*are you surprised by the lack of preseason buzz for Clyburn, given you've stated previously he has the most NBA potential on the roster, even when you had Royce?
