they used to do something and it wasn't that well received, maybe its time to try it again, but its up to the coaches ultimately. Having attended the previous events, I have to say it just didn't work, IMO, trying to do both men's and women's together. They quit even having a dunk contest for crying out loud. I be in favor of doing something again, 3 point event, including the coaches, dunk contest and scrimmage. Frankly would favor separate events for women's team.
I thought I heard somewhere that it technically counts as one of your practices and coaches then have to weigh fan support vs utilizing their practice time. Am I off here?
I agree, if done correctly you can really use it as a "fire up" event, pair with some music, etc.
Maybe we should do a "noon-madness" event for all our Hilton lower circle fans that never stand to cheer, etc?
I'm fairly sure you'd be correct. It's be along the same lines as to why fans aren't allowed into the preseason scrimmages when we for example head to Lincoln. If they allowed fans you'd have an exhibition on your hands.
