Then there's the fact that he might not, or they might split the spot. After all, they are significantly different players, and who knows how the team will fit together. I'm just glad that CFH was able to add a player like this as an option. Now, to get another Kelvin Cato!

I try to stay on topic but people like agronomist, fitzy and go cubs just like to get on these boards and mock people and make fun of them to make themselves feel better about themselves instead of giving their input about the actual topic. It's more of a popularity contest for them.

I think with Hoiberg at the helm, it's pointless to get too caught up in who plays where. I think in 2013, we'll see quite a big rotation of guards in our backcourt, with Jones, MM, Thomas, Naz and SDW all seeing a fair amount of time. Naz/MM will start at PG to begin the season in 2013 and it may be harder than most think to unseat one of those guys. Even if Jones does, the coaches sound pretty high on Naz, plus he has good size and shooting which makes him a combo. MM is a combo as well.

You nailed it. I do think that when Jones is eligible around December 20th that he will play around 15-20 minutes a game right away while not starting. By the time we start the Big 12 schedule or maybe a few games into Big 12 play he will be starting in front of Naz or Monte. Naz will still get good minutes next year though for sure.

My input is your opinion that someone is definitely going to transfer is stupid. Could it happen? Yes. Is it likely to happen? Probably, yes. But you say "someone WILL transfer due to lack of playing time."

Not only that but he can't start until he's a junior, at the earliest. He's gonna get destroyed if he plays any sooner.

I expect Fred to play at a faster pace and use lots of players. A little bit like McD substituting.
