Re: Maurice Jones is transferring to Iowa State
Any chance they file an exemption waiver to the NCAA so Jones is eligible at the start of the season? I know they're trying to crack down on this but there seem to be several successful stories like this lately. Obviously each situation is different, but maybe they have reason to believe they could gain full semester eligibility. I know Sledge was somehow allowed so who knows, maybe. Wishful thinking.

I don't think there's any basis for it.

I don't think there is either since it seems like it was simply his choice, but didn't know if there was any word of trying.

We have filed a petition and the NCAA said that they'll announce a ruling December 20, 2013. -

Re: Maurice Jones is transferring to Iowa State
According to his twitter he moved to Ames on November 26th but today was his first official practice. So I'm guessing he wasn't cleared to practice by the NCAA until the first semester was over.
Anyways I think him practicing against lucious everyday will help lucious get used to being pressured a lot which will hopefully result in less turnovers in games. Also it will help Jones prepare for next year practicing against a good guard like lucious for the next 3 months.
It's always nice to have good scout team players.

It's always nice to have good scout team players. Completely agree. If we can curb Korie's turnover ratio, this team can give itself a chance to win these games.

Re: Maurice Jones is transferring to Iowa State
All the experience we can get is welcomed.
Next year we will have Ejim, SDW, Okoro, Naz, Gibson, Niang returning. Thats 3 players, 1 redshirt, and 2 guys that see the floor rarely.
I think Jones will be a really nice addition to the team.
