Maurice Jones is transferring to Iowa State

Doesn't hurt to have 3 point guards. ISU would have that this year if not for Bubu's problems. Plus, I believe Morris is also comfortable playing the 2. I'm pretty sure FH can figure out some way to get all of them quality minutes.

I think ISU, with FH as head coach, is always going to be able to recruit quality guards. I also think we are going to see this program develop into a much faster paced offense, with a pressure defense. The half-court offense will start as soon as ISU gets the ball at the other end of the floor.

The only concerns I have is recruiting some solid big men for the future. Someone has to rebound and get the ball to the guards.

Jones will be a nice addition, but I look forward to seeing how good Morris and Long are too. Jones was on a poor team, and he was relied on to do the scoring, but there are no indications that he is a very good shooter. A guard that shoots 34 percent from the field and 65 pecent from the ft line is nothing to get too excited about. I find it more interesting that he averaged almost 3 rebounds a game at 5 foot 7. Should be fun.

He's also 2/3rds the height of a normal man. So that's a hardship

Now THAT is really interesting.

not making a judgement. I'll leave it as "interesting" until I know more about him, how he plays, and what happened with the MN offer/ decommitment. Hopefully other Cyclone fans will as well.

....but I doubt it.

Edozie would help out with big man depth and help round out classes. Not sure if he's actually the real deal, but I'd be ok with it

Not disappointed in these two guys, but I would have liked to believed that Fred could do better.

At least Maurice Jones has proven he can perform at the BCS college level. Edozie is VERY puzzling though? I can't figure out what Minnesota or ISU sees in this guy? I guess I'll have to be proven wrong hopefully.

When you are actually a talent scout and recruiter for a major university, your input will matter.

Also, no one has to prove a damn thing to you.
